The Fairy Mission Art Competition 2014 is an exciting NEW event that’s happening this autumn/winter…

Fairy Mission is a small Cambridgeshire (UK) based organisation established by Lydia (5), Kaitlyn (3) and their mums Eleanor and Cherry.

Fairy Mission aims to increase creativity in communities near and far by spreading fairy sparkles! It believes that everyone can create, and by bonding together, love leads to inspiration.

Art-making, illustration, and storytelling are at the heart of Fairy Mission’s work. This year, Lydia and Kaitlyn have focused their creativity towards Children in Need. They have authored and illustrated an ebook called “Fairy Mission to find Stripe” (available on iTunes & Amazon w/all profits going to Children in Need), and have mounted an exhibition at Ely Library showing their creative journey in this project. Now they would like to include other children in the creative fun…

This winter from November 1st 2014- 25th December 2014, children (aged pre-school to 12 years-old) across communities are invited to design a fairy or fairy bug, and submit it to the Fairy Mission Competition. Artwork will
be judged according to age, and thanks to the sponsorship of Staedlter Fimo, there are great modelling clay prizes to be won… allowing winners to bring their two-dimensional artwork to life!

Fairy Mission is grateful to have the support of Burrows Book Shop, Tindalls Art Shop Ely, and Ely Art Association as it’s judges. Judging will take place in the New Year, and the winners will be announced on Monday 19th of
January 2015.

We would LOVE others to participate in our competition. Links for downloadable forms, posters and information can be found on our Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/FairyMissiontofindStripe
