In Catalonia Spain, Poble Vell de Corbera mounts their Biennal d’Art to provide a space for reflection amidst the historical ruins from the Spanish Civil War and to serve as a tool for the dissemination of human
rights and a showcase for contemporary artistic creation.  The fourth Biennial Art Exhibition on Human Rights has chosen as the theme the 19th and 27th articles of the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which refer to Freedom of Expression and Culture.

The old church of St Pere in the Poble Vell showcases more than 120 pieces of artwork by 40 artists from various countries. Diverse ways of understanding art are represented in different techniques and formats showing reflections from the art world on the concerns we have for today ’s problems throughout our society.
