Bringing Young and Older People Together Using the Arts (London)
Bringing Young and Older People Together Using the Arts
Thursday 23 November, 9:45 to 4:45
Weavers Fields Restaurant Trust, Bethnal Green, London
A training event exploring the role and responsibilities of the artist
in Intergenerational Arts using presentations, creative tools and
practical activities.
Intergenerational arts activity is growing. Using creative work to bring
together people from different generations, cultures, and faiths is as
complex as it is timely. Magic Me with funding from Arts Council England
has run a three year Continuing Professional Development programme for
its artists, staff and partners exploring good practice in this emerging
field. This day is your chance to find out what we discovered.
The day is designed for artists with a minimum of two years experience
in community arts.
Cost is £50 per delegate including lunch, refreshments and a copy of
Sharing The Experience, the Magic Me handbook on how to set up and run
intergenerational arts projects (value £9.95). Limited free places
available for artists who could not otherwise attend.
