Free screening of Art in the Park 05- 06

Come and view this 15 minute film made by Art in the Park volunteers and
find out more about the project, our events and volunteering
opportunities. With the chance to ask questions afterwards and meet
current volunteers and the staff team.

The Big Draw 06- Superheroes
@ Ponderosa, top end next to the climbing boulder
Sunday 15th October, 1-4 pm
As part of this years national drawing celebtration, we’ll be drawing
‘superhero’ life models who will be posing in the park for us. Try life
drawing with a difference, have a go at posing yourself and experiment

At this event there will also be the other usual Art in the Park
activities on offer, including circus skills and chalking.

Everyone welcome! This event is free. Free drinks and snacks available.

Find us
Take the 94, 95 or 123 bus from town and get off just after the Arts
Tower (Sheffield University). Cross the road and walk away from town
untill you get to the corner of the Ponderosa park. Follow the chalk
arrows to the event. This route does take you down some fairly steps, so
if you need directions avoiding steps please give us a ring at the
office.

Balloonistas! Part Two
@Edward Street Flats, Netherthorpe
Sunday November 12th, 12 – 3 pm
Another chance to screen print onto bunting and on to t-shirts (bring
your own!). Come and watch the launch of the giant patchwork screen
printed balloon.

Art in the Park @ Hillsborough Park Christmas Festival
Sunday 10th December 11-4pm
Be inspired by the winter season and get creative at this special winter
event. plus music, entertainment, food, markets and other festive fun!

Would you like to get involved?
Art in the Park is always looking for volunteers to get involved with
events, publicity, fundraising etc. We are a friendly and supportive
team and can provide you with training, support and networking and

Would you like copies of our new leaflets?
Running from October to December our leaflets contain all the
information about our events plus more details about volunteering
opportunities. If you or your organisation would like us to send you one
or more copies please get in touch.

Art in the Park is a volunteer run project based in Netherthorpe,
Upperthorpe and Langsett areas of Sheffield. We work in partnership with
Sheffield City Council Ranger Service and receive funding from The Arts
Council, The Freshgate Foundation and The Sheffield Town Trust.
