Artist needs York memoires for Art Festival

I have been selected to feature artwork for Sight Sonic, the digital arts festival,
and I am looking for people to contribute memories about York to turn into digital
art.

Having produced numerous text based, site specific, digital installations using
the technique of projecting memories, thoughts and comments from friends and
family depending upon subject matter, I am currently looking to develop my ideas
using memories and the thoughts from anonymous contributors. This will hopefully
consist of contributions from your readers, members of the public whom I approach
in the street and from response to an article that has been written in my local
press (Doncaster Star).

As Sight Sonic is an international festival held within York, I wish to combine my
digital skills with the publics love for this historic city to produce a nostalgic
response.

I would like to hear from any with comment about York. It could be about the city
or its attractions, individual experiences or feelings. It doesn’t have to be long,
poetic, positive or even make sense, just something to spark a viewers imagination
upon seeing the piece. If someone wishes to send an essay of experiences and
memories that too would be greatly appreciated. If people wish to see examples of
my previous work they can visit my website http://www.shelleyclarkson.co.uk

I would like the comments to be emailed to me at
mailto:shelley.clarkson@hotmail.co.uk ideally before the 14th October.
Late additions will be considered and hopefully added to the piece.

Thank you.
