Exhibition Opportunity
The Food Gallery is a new art gallery and cafe in Blackburn, Lancashire. The
gallery, dedicated to showcasing the work of artists based in the North of England,
exhibits and sells a wide range of contemporary art, including photography,
sculpture and quirky illustrative works.
We are currently seeking artwork to exhibit in our forthcoming season of
exhibitions and invite artists based in the North to submit work for consideration.
The Food Gallery will curate each exhibition from the open call of submissions
into group or solo shows.
If you are interested in submitting your work please send us a recent CV, artist
statement and images of your work, stating whether you wish to be considered for a
group or solo show.
Please send images either in print or on a CD ROM in PC Format (including details
of title, date, medium, dimensions and price). Additional supporting material
inc. publications, press reviews, links to relevant websites if available may also
be sent. Please note – If you would like your images returned, please include a
stamped and self addressed envelope.

Closing date for submissions is October 31st 2006. Shortlisted artists will be
invited to bring the original work to an informal meeting at The Food Gallery and
the final decision will be given after the meeting.
